The chickens we picked up are called Tetra Tint and according to what I have read and was told by the ladies in Tractor Supply they are a very hardy and great egg producing chicken, laying about one egg a day....that's right we will have 1/2 dozen farm fresh eggs daily!
We have 6 hens but the accuracy for sexing is about 90% so we may end up with a rooster or two. I will update the progress of their growth and information about this Chicken since it is a new breed of chicken created just for Tractor Supply.
Thanks for posting. I went to the tractor supply store this weekend and also purchased chicks,I have 6 tetra tints,2 Rhode island reds and 2 golden comets. I wasn't aware that I can take them out into the yard so thank you for that info. Good luck and I hope you continue to update.
